5 Things

Wednesday 20th May 2009 - 12:44:28 PM

I was thinking…what if I were held at gunpoint and told to choose five things to take along with me (and my family) to a deserted island?

What would I take?

This could very well happen…you just never know what tomorrow holds.  I’m sure there is someone lurking about watching my family and wants to drop me off to spend the rest of my life suffering on a beach in the tropical South Pacific!

You can never be too prepared!

So what would I take with me (by the way- this kidnapper is nice enough to let me take the time to think through and choose 5 of my “can’t do withouts”!!)?

  1. My Snugli- yepper!  I don’t go a day without strapping Salem in that thing and wagging him around.  Can’t live without it!
  2. The toaster oven.  Bread toasters are too small and they can’t cook meals, the oven would be too big to carry along, and plus I LOVE IT!  Now, here’s hoping there’s electricity on this island!!
  3. My bathrobe.  First of all, it’s light blue…so there’s that.  Second, I wear it when I’m cold or just keep it opened over my clothes in the morning until I warm up.  Third, it’s soft and could double as a pillow.
  4. Flip flops.  A must-have in hot weather…or cold weather for that matter.   Their comfortable, cheap, and they work with just about any outfit!
  5. Adia’s pacifier.  For my sanity as well as hers.  ‘Nuf said.

There you go.  The things I could NOT live without on a deserted island…in the South Pacific…with my family…thankyouverymuch!

Sidenote:  Oh yeah, I get to take my diaper bag with me on this kidnapping.  And if you must know, I carry a smallish Bible in my diaper bag- so that’s why THAT isn’t on the list!  If you MUST know!

Do you have a top 5?  (Don’t look at me like I’m stupid…you know you have some)  Dig down deep and give some for real, what you can’t live without, answers.  I wanna know!
