Silhouette week!! I have just discovered this wonderful way of capturing moments. I’m not all that great at it, but it is interesting to try…
Here’s my entry this week.
Do you have any idea how hard it is to capture a kid, first of all, but a kid flying a kite…from behind? Someone should have been taking a picture of me taking this picture!!

You’ve done well capturing that hard moment. I love the blue sky and the kite in the air! I personally think that taking pictures of people taking pictures can be quite entertaining!

That is a good idea, a picture of you taking this picture. I love this, flying a kite, what a great shot idea. I found this week difficult also, really looking forward to more practice on it.

Ah, an interesting challenge! There’s the sun (necessary for the silhouette) and the wind direction (forces the subject to face a certain direction) then there’s mom down on the ground trying to photograph the whole thing! You did great! If nature cooperated, you could have had him turn sideways and still had the kite flying in front of him. Hee hee… see why I used a fake prop in my photo?

Thanks! actually, I was sort of crouching and sideways, but also having to move around since it was an incredibly windy day and that kite was ALL OVER THE PLACE! It was quite comical to say the least!
