Thank you to all who let me know that they are enjoying Themes for Homemaker Moments Friday.  That was helpful and I’m happy to stay we’ll be sticking with themes for the time being.

On the docket for this week is the ever-interesting Haiku poem.  Are you ready?

I am.

With these kids all day

To-do list getting bigger

cooking, cleaning, play

There ya go.  Simple and sweet!  Remember a Haiku poem consists of 3 lines.  The first line contains only 5 syllables, the second has 7 syllables, and the third has 5 again.  This time around we are writing Haiku poems about our roles at home.

Won’t you come and play with us this Friday???  To link up follow the instructions below.  The Linky has changed a little bit so be sure to read the instructions if you aren’t familiar with these link things.  If you’re leaving a comment, it hasn’t changed one bit!

I like your Haiku, Ang! Okay, I’ll give it a go! I guess because I am so consumed with homeschooling right now, this is the only thing I could come up with:

    Leaves change, school bells ring

    Children mourn summer’s ending

    Fall arrives at last

There is my poor attempt at a Haiku poem! Very telling of what is on my mind, huh?!

It was fun seeing you guys last night. I wish you could have stuck around for the last set. It was much more relaxed, a lot less people, and there was a sing-a-long at the end (typical of bluegrass/folk concnerts)! Fun! Mazie really enjoyed it so know she’ll love Mt. View tomorrow!

You guys have a safe and happy 4th!
