Where’s Waldo?

You know those fun picture games?  Don’t you?

I remember passing time in the waiting room at the pediatrician’s clinic trying to find that goofy-looking guy in the red and white shirt?  Or, if we were on a church trip to who-knows-where, somebody would inevitably bring a Waldo book along.  A great way to pass the time on a bus!

In case you have no idea what I’m talking about, or if you just can’t shake the temptation to try to find Waldo whenever you pass by that picture with a sea of people and a bunch of red and white stripes, here is a place where you can go to quench that fetish.

Although, if you hang around this blog long enough, I have a little challenge for ya too.  While not on the same level as the Waldo craze, I feel sure the “Where’s Adia” craze will be taking hold any day now.  Mostly because if you live in my town, then you might actually be caught up in helping us, quite literally, find that little sneak!  More often than not she has been doing her best to live the life of a gypsy.  Flitting around from location to location with nothing but the clothes on her back, “Snakey” her imaginary pet, and with no purpose but to enjoy what is right in front of her.

Each one of our family members has spent a considerable amount of time tracking that girl down whenever we go out into public.  Well, and if I must admit, she has actually gotten misplaced at the house too.  Not too long ago

…last week…ahem…

my mom drove up into the driveway only to find Adia laying down in the grass with Snakey and her pillow. Yet another instance, while we were at Regan’s triathlon she meandered off into the crowd and and we couldn’t find her for about 10 minutes.  To our horror, the emcee of the race announced through the loud speakers, “I have a beautiful little blond headed girl in my arms that would love to have her parents come pick her up at the finish line”.  Grrreat!

We are sooo that family!

I thought that this picture was a great tribute to our daily lives.  I would entitle it “Where’s Adia”.

Can you find Adia in this picture?

Obviously she can blend in well with her surroundings, thus making it very difficult to keep track of that slippery little tike!   So, if you see a little bitty blond-headed gypsy girl roaming around without her parents on the streets of Arkansas, you’ll know who she belongs too and you can play “Where’s Adia” with us!

Sidebar:  Adia makes anything that is slightly skinny and string-like into her Snakey.  Yesterday Snakey was this string left over from some pants that I had purchased for her at a consignment sale.  The string was attached by safety-pin and had a tag on it, but Adia removed all of the extraneous material and made it her new pet.

What an imagination!
