Up late and blogging

Wednesday 21st October 2009 - 9:15:53 PM

The story of my life lately is “up late and blogging”.  If I’m not writing a post, editing photos, or networking with other bloggers then I’m being wife and mom.  The latter actually DOES take precedent and I am fully aware that it should

thankyouverymuch!

I’m not sure if you’re aware of this great little button that I can select over here on my post editor that allows me to publish this post immediately or schedule it for later.  I almost always schedule it for later.  Are you shocked?

Don’t be!

It’s true that I don’t have much time during the day…you know how I have 5 kids that I’m always looking after…so I choose to do my blogging at night and early in the morning.  It just so happens that I have a nice little routine going for the mornings and evenings.  The mornings consist of a shower, a brisk walk on the nearby walking trail, reading my Bible and prayer, and making out a tentative schedule for the day (which includes school planning).  Sometimes, when I don’t have a lot of school work to get together, I write a post instead.

Ah-ha, so that’s how I do it!  So many of you have made comments about how you don’t know how I do it…that’s how!  That and I have a wonderfully patient husband that sits by my side in the evenings while he works on his business stuff.  We even sit right next to each other and send each other instant messages.  Just because we can…and because I like those little smiley faces that blink and blow kisses.  They do a better job than I would if I made those faces.  My favorite is the giant toothy grin and the cowboy.

I digress.

The point I’m trying to make is that I love to blog and I love to read other people’s blogs, but I absolutely do not let it come between me and my family.  I hope it doesn’t.  Honey, if you’re reading this could you please comment and let the nice people know how balanced I am?  Thanks!

    Angie,
I need to get up before my hubby leaves for work and get a routine like you. But, he leaves the house at 6:30am. What time does Todd usually leave? I would love to get up, try to attempt some sort of workout and get a shower. I would feel very accomplished for the day :)

Let’s see…I try to be up by 6:30 and sometimes it’s more like 6:45. The kids aren’t allowed out of their room until 7:00 so I have that long to shower, prepare and such. Todd works from home and he is usually up by 8:00. He has absolutely NOTHING to do with our morning routine. He just has to get to work!!
