How do you spell getaway?
Well, I would vote “yes” to all of those…and I’d add a few more to the list.
Great marching bands at half time of the Razorback game…

Not having to keep up with five children in the midst of 75,000 other people…

Taking pictures of Big Red (the mascot) while he takes pictures of me…

Camping, but not without my blowup mattress and lots of warm blankets…

A campfire (that Todd allowed me to start with only twigs, newspaper and magnesium- just call me Macgyver!)…

Todd descending into “Devil’s Den” (okay so this isn’t too comforting, but you can’t go to Devil’s Den State Park and not go into “Devil’s Den”- that would be lame)

Exploring underground caves that are 30 degrees cooler than the surface…

Taking our sweet time because we aren’t dragging five kids along, and because we can, and because this chair was awesome…

Did mention we were without the kids? For one whole night!
And that’s how I spell getaway!! How about you?
Thank you to the army of people that it took to make this weekend happen for us. I never realize how much I need time off until I take it. Which happens oh, about every five years or so.

Fun! Sounds like a great get-away! Great pics! Eric was at the football game Saturday too with some guys he works with. I was going to tell him to keep an eye out for you guys then realized the ridiculousness of that statement. Figured he’d have just as good a chance of just running into you guys by accident as actually finding you in that mob on purpose!

Ahhh…. that looks wonderful! We have not gotten away together alone since we had kids…..almost 5 yrs ago!
Hopefully soon, we can make that happen. It’s so important to have that quality time together to connect.
Glad you guys got it and had such a great time!
