How do you spell getaway?
Relaxation?
Football game?
Beautiful scenery?
Well, I would vote “yes” to all of those…and I’d add a few more to the list.
Great marching bands at half time of the Razorback game…Not having to keep up with five children in the midst of 75,000 other people…
Taking pictures of Big Red (the mascot) while he takes pictures of me…
Camping, but [...]
Indoor Campout
That’s an oxymoron if I’ve ever heard one! Although, that’s exactly what we did this weekend. Let me back up and tell you the whole story.
We were invited to a family campout to be held last Friday night. It was going to be in the front yard of a family who has over 32 acres, [...]While you were sleeping

Homemaker ChroniclesThe proof is in the pudding
Whatever the heck that means. I’m sure it’s a grandma term…meaning a wonderful grandma was probably making homemade pudding years ago and came up with a clever way to tie that into her everyday life to use as an example while teaching her grand-kids.

My dad used to always ask my brother and I, “Do you know what I learned in Sunday school?
Of course we would answer, “What?”.
Then he’d always reply, “Shaaaaring!”.
There were two reasons for his asking this: 1) we had something he wanted, like candy and 2) he’s weird…in a good way! Nevertheless, we always shared whatever [...]to make the bed or not to make the bed?
This is what I find myself asking each morning after I wake up, drink some coffee, read or pray (or both), take a shower (or don’t), and come into my bedroom where the sheets and comforter are tousled to and fro.
I require the kids to make their beds. It’s part of their “morning chores”…make your [...]When “Chubby” gets too chubby
Raise your haaand…if you like co-sleeping with your infant! “Me Me!!”
This is the raise your hand game. Everyone raises their hand BEFORE the person screaming “raise your haaand” says WHY you are raising your hand.
Let’s try again.
I say…”Raise your haaand” (okay, raise your hand now)
I see the raised hands and continue…”if you like co-sleeping with your [...]
